Husband and wife team, Rose and Prince Adams are proud to be the 3rd Innkeeper couple keeping the authentic unplugged New England Country Inn tradition alive. They are are both native New Yorker’s, hailing from the big city of Brooklyn. They have over 35 years of combined experience working in the field of hospitality.
After graduating from the New York Restaurant School in NYC, with degrees in Culinary Arts & Hospitality Management, Rose headed-up the catering program for Gourmet Garage, one of the first gourmet / specialty foods operations in New York City with five locations. Catering clients include the Guggenheim Museum, National Public Radio (NPR), and the Rockefellers to mention a few. Rose moved on to worked for two Rockefeller owned, 5 star luxury resorts, the exclusive Little Dix Bay on Virgin Gorda, British West Indies, and Caneel Bay, a Rosewood-managed resort in St. John, United States Virgin Islands. There she earned repeated promotions and held various positions, including restaurant manager, food and beverage director, assistant hotel manager and general manager.
Prior to coming to Maine, the couple upstarted an award winning restaurant on St. John, USVI, called Sweet Plantains, Restaurant & Rum Bar. Their achievements on St. John included “Best New Restaurant,” “Best Chef in the entire USVI,” “Best Sweet / Desserts,” “Best Chef on St. John,” “Best Bar-tending Staff,” “Best Ethnic Restaurant,” and “Best Gourmet Restaurant”, via the US Virgin Islands Daily News Reader’s Poll.
We are excited to continue pursuing our love for great food, fine wine, great craft beer, aged rums and hospitality in Lovell Maine.
